To place an order you can either contact us directly through our website here after browsing the products below or message our Facebook page. Our Etsy shop is currently closed.
We always have more fleece available than what we have listed on here so please get in touch if you are after something specific.
We also welcome visits, by appointment, to our fleece barn where you can pick your very own fleeces from our collection.
P&P is included in the price of our large raw fleeces where stated and all other items start at £4.00 for Royal Mail postage. Postage can be combined for multiple orders and will be quoted on weight.
Refunds of the item cost excluding P&P will be issued for items returned in original unused condition, if they are not to your requirement. P&P for these at the buyers expense. No refunds available once a raw fleece/part fleece has been washed.
Please contact us for advice on how to get the best from your fleece purchase if you are unsure of anything. We can also match fleeces to your skill level and equipment.
Raw Fleeces
We love breeding and caring for a variety of pedigree native British sheep breeds. By purchasing wool from pedigree British traditional and native breeds you are helping to contribute to their conservation by giving them an extra purpose. We take great pleasure in offering the very best fleeces available for raw purchases.
We heavily skirt all our fleeces to remove the dirty belly and coarser back leg wool to leave you with the prime neck and body section - minimising your waste and making them great value for money.

Derwent Products
We use our own raw fleece and process it every step of the way using traditional methods to produce a truly handmade and homegrown product for our home - and you can choose one (or more!) of our lovely fleeces to do the same.
We have each year a small number of fleeces that are semi-felted and perfect for making ‘living’ rugs by wet felting methods - let us know if you are interested in these as we keep a list of customers for them.
Raw Fleece
Have a dream crafting project in mind? Well now you can choose the perfect fleece to get your project started. Our prize winning sheep produce fleeces in a range of earthy tones from shades of chocolate to lustrous slate greys. Every single fleece is unique in colour and high in quality.
We always have plenty of fleece in our barn - contact us if you would like to come and visit so you can pick your own!
Crafting Supplies
Sometimes your crafting project needs a helping hand to get going.
We can help advise on processing the fibre from our Shetland, Teeswater, Norfolk Horn, Coloured Ryeland and Clun Forest sheep, and we do stock a large selection of picked and dyed teeswater locks - my favourite thing to do on long winter evenings!
We care for all our sheep with love and affection and can also normally tell you the name of the sheep who grew it for us.

Natural Beauty
Our beautiful sheep produce premium fibre in a range of stunning natural colours - they are perfect just the way they are. So here we have washed and combed or carded nest and batts to illustrate the different products you can create for your next crafting project, whether it’s spinning, weaving or felting.
Hand Combed Nests
Hand combing works for a variety of breeds and is great for removing vm and dirt and leaving an easily usable product, perfect for spinning or weaving.
Loose Combed Rovings
Grown by some of our homebred Shetland x Teeswaters and Clun Forests, these are perfect for spinning, weaving or felting
Felted and Semi-Felted Textures
Showing a selection of our breeds in both raw and washed, our felted textures can be used for a variety of things.
I Can See a Rainbow
Sometimes we like to add a bit of colour to brighten up a drizzly day in the Lake District. I can dye to order teeswater locks at quieter times of year, if you have something specific in mind.
Hand Dyed Teeswater Locks
